Herman Edwin "Ed" Hoeferkamp, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his home among family.

Ed was born on March 15, 1933 in Rising Sun, IN and he graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1951. He served in the United States Air Force with honor during the Korean War.  Most recently he retired from Printpack, Inc in Fredericksburg after over 20 years of dedicated service (1996). Ed was a great family man, a loving father and a dedicated friend to many. He married Lydia McDowell in 1956 and the couple had a son, Craig M. Hoeferkamp.  Lydia passed away in 1997. In 1999 Ed married Wanda Clough. They had a wonderful life together until Wanda passed away in 2017. He was socially active, loved to ride motorcycles and participated in the Goldwing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) for years.  He was a member of Round Oak Baptist Church of Caroline County.

Ed is survived by his son, Craig Hoeferkamp (Angela), of Fredericksburg; two step-daughters Brenda Clough Edgerley of Centerville, OH and Pam Clough Berry of Shawnee, KS; as well as beloved nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Clough Hoeferkamp, of Fredericksburg; his mother, Mary Henrietta Hoeferkamp; his father, William Henry Hoeferkamp, both of Rising Sun, IN; and his sisters, Ethel Edwards and Goldie Trumbo, both of IN.

Due to the current COVID-19 virus we will delay his celebration of life until we can reasonably gather.
