Ida Mae Jackson

Ida Mae Jackson, 70, of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Woodmont Center.

Ida was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and was a frequent walker of her neighborhood. She spent many years as an administrative assistant and office manager. Ida also was active in her community helping her neighbors whenever she could.

Survivors include her son, Mark McLendon; daughter Venus Jackson; grandchild Zenobia Jackson; and siblings Joy M. Morris (Joseph), Ruby McClendon, Patricia M. Huntley, Alice M. Crowder and John F. Clendon. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Mae Burrino; and sisters Bonnie Dean McClendon and Susan McClendon Graves.

 A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 1009 Stafford Ave, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. A private interment will be held in Williams Cemetery in North Carolina at a later date.
