Jack Buchanan, 82 of Prince William County passed away on Monday, January 10th, 2022. He was born on February 15th, 1939 in Dickinson County, VA.
Jack was an accomplished man who started as a brick mason and built his own company. In his younger years he loved hunting, going on camping and fishing trips to Canada, he enjoyed restoring old cars, going to his mountain house and gardening. He loved listening to bluegrass music and playing his guitar.
He is survived by his children, Terry “Randy” Buchanan, Kathy Migliacc, and William “Buck” Buchanan (Lisa); grandchildren Jerry, Amy, Bobby, Randy, Katie, and Wesley; great-grandchildren Marjorie, Jenna, RJ, Isabella, and Helena; and siblings Rita, Linda, Wanda, Doyle, Darell, and Debbie. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Diane; and brothers Charles and Roger.
Jack will be remembered as a good man who loved his family, a good friend to many. He always had stories to tell and always had you laughing. He will be missed.
Due to inclement weather, the service has been rescheduled to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, 1310 Courthouse rd. Stafford, VA 22554. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s association in Jack’s name.
