Jamal T. Parkman, age 35, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 in Fredericksburg, VA. He was born May 13, 1985 in Youngstown, OH to Samson Wright Sr. and Racheryl Clark. He was a 2003 graduate of Chancellor High School where he excelled in football.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia Parkman; children Elijah, Exavyer and Esiyah Parkman; his mother, Racheryl (Alphonso) Clark; his brothers and sisters, Albert L. Tolbert Jr., Samson Wright Jr., Twana Sharp, Rasheeda Hudson, and Willina Newberry; his favorite Aunt Neicy Ellis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jamal is also survived by many friends throughout his life where he thoroughly enjoyed coaching football for our local youth. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nevaeh Parkman; his father, Samson Wright; his mother-in-law, Melissa Melendez, his grandmothers, Rutie Mae Parkman and Katie Mae Wright.
Jamal had a loving heart for everyone and was known for his infectious laugh and huge smile.
Services will be held privately at Covenant Funeral Service. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions guests are required to wear a mask.
