James W. Portch, III

James W. Portch, III of Fredericksburg passed away suddenly on October 18, 2021.

James worked for Deleon’s Home Improvement and was a jack of all trades. Known as Bubby or J.W. to his family, he was a protective brother and a kind and caring soul. He had such an energy that would light up the darkest of places. Having such a big heart and being generous by nature he is loved and missed by many.

James is survived by his parents, Valerie and James W. Portch Jr.; his daughter, Josie ”JoJo” Portch; his sisters, Joy Hatchett, Crystal Horoszewski, and Rachel Karas; life companion Linda Buie; grandfather James W. Portch, Sr.; as well as nieces, nephews and many family, friends and loved ones. James was preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Portch; and his Nana, Joyce Rawlings.

A small viewing was held for close family at Covenant Funeral Home.
