James "Jim" Arthur Falkenstern

James “Jim” Arthur Falkenstern, 67, of Stafford County passed away on Monday May 23, 2022 surrounded by his children at Mary Washington Hospital.

Jim grew up in Norwood, New Jersey and he graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School in 1973. Jim was truly one of a kind, he had a unique sense of humor and always had a joke (appropriate or not) for every occasion. He had a passion for music and seeing many rock n’ roll legends live, he had an encyclopedic knowledge of everything rock n’ roll. He loved baseball, playing shortstop in his early years. He was an avid Yankees fan, collected baseball cards and corresponded with baseball legends in hopes of one day publishing a book. Jim had a keen interest in autographs, memorabilia, and built his own business dealing in rare autographs.

Survivors include his children, Rachel Falkenstern, Melissa Falkenstern (Andrew Mullen), John Falkenstern and Kyle Falkenstern; granddaughter Cora Falkenstern-Mullen; sister Jane Falkenstern.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Falkenstern, parents John and Marion Falkenstern and his sister Carol Szerlip.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Saturday August 20, 2022 in Norwood, New Jersey.
