She is survived by her brother, Chester Oakes; sisters Frances Oakes Rose (Roy) and Martha Oakes Dismutes; eight nephews; seven nieces; numerous great-nephews and -nieces; a host of cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Seal; parents Elsie Oakes Snellings and Luther Elmer Oakes; and brothers Roger, Elmer, and Milton.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
