Jerry Lee Craft passed away on April 12th at the age of 52, he was a light in every room he walked into and his laughter was contagious. He loved his family and friends and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He worked at Costco for the last 14 years and considered them his family as well. Jerry was passionate about helping others. His love of cooking was enjoyed by many.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Craft; sister Melinda Sue; aunts Nancy McCoy and Shelby Blankenship; and dear friend Anne Sullivan, who inspired him to be an advocate for the disabled. He is survived by his mother, Magdalene Craft of Chilhowie, VA; sister Sherry Smith of Northern Virginia; niece, Paige Hall (Keith) of Northern Virginia; nephew, Dustin Smith of Northern Virginia; great-nieces, Aspen and Amelia; great-nephew, Liam; aunts; Delcie Williams, Connie Roland (Joe), Kathy Lowe (Earl), all of Chilhowie, VA; uncles, Delbert Blevins (Betty) of Marion; and dear friends Todd, Sandy, Donna and Chuckie.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. on Thursday, April 15 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. There will also be services held in Chilhowie, VA at Grosses Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, April 17. Visitation will begin at 1 P.M. with a service beginning at 2 P.M. and graveside service to follow.
