Joan Elaine Jones

Joan Elaine Jones, 81, of Stafford passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2023 at her residence.

Joan worked for the U.S. Government at Quantico for 30 years as a librarian. She loved her dog, Westley, and enjoyed crocheting, reading, crafts, and outdoor gardening.

She is survived by her sister, Janet English; nephew Darrell E. English (Gina); niece Lori “Sissy” English Bennett (James); great-nephews and -nieces Brandon English, Kendyll English, Houston Lamper (Erika), and Tyler Lamper (Ashley); and six great-great-nephews and -nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Jones; parents Rudolph and Anita Korbas; brother Timothy R. Korbas; and uncle Joseph Korbas.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Don and Cathy Winters, Hospice, and Grace Simpson for their love and support during this time.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford. A private graveside service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery.
