Jonathan Hawkins

Jonathan "Jonny" Hawkins, age 14, of Spotsylvania County, Virginia, tragically died last Thursday evening, July 14, 2016, in his home.He was born to John and Jovelyn Hawkins, September 6, 2001, in Manassas, Virginia. Jonathan was home schooled and loved history, Hebrew, music, art, and reading; he aspired to be an author. His family lived in Manassas for eighteen years before moving to the Fredericksburg area in 2005. He attended Beth Israel Messianic Congregation with his family, and his father taught him to live by the Torah and baptized him in Messiah's name.Jonny had a gentle spirit and was kind, compassionate, considerate, patient, and a fine obedient son who loved The Almighty One. He was happy and there were no indications that he had a troubled heart; we rest in the hope that we will see Jonny again in the kingdom when Messiah Yehoshua returns to reign. We miss him so much and this is so traumatic and unexpected, but Yahovah is sovereign and is with us.Jonathan is survived by his parents John Hawkins and Jovelyn Hawkins, of Fredericksburg; his siblings Richard and Joyanne Hawkins, of Toronto Canada; Melanie Hawkins of Front Royal; Joseph Hawkins age 12, and Rachael Hawkins age 9. He is also survived by his grandparents Paul and Eva Hawkins, of Parkersburg, WV; and Pedro and Candida Teodoro, of Culpeper; his uncles Thomas Hawkins of Kailua, HI, David Hawkins of Parkersburg, WV; Marlon and Rosella Teodoro, of Culpeper; Isagani and Margie Teodoro, of Culpeper; his aunts Evelyn and James McCrady, of Lake City, FL; Pelani and Roberto Flores, of Sterling; he also has many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who love him.Public viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at Covenant Funeral Service, 4801 Jeff. Davis Hwy., Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, 1902 Plank Rd.
