Karen Jean Dabney

Karen Jean Dabney, 64, of Stafford County passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at VCU Hospital in Richmond. 

Ms. Dabney was the coordinator of the AfterShare Program for the homeless and she was always helping others. She won the Governor’s Award and enjoyed going to Bingo. 

Survivors include her fiancé, Robert Strother; grandchildren Brandy Duprey and Tina Duprey; great-grandchild Lucas Gunther; father Lawrence Duprey; step-mother Vickie Walker; siblings Kimberly Rivera and Larry Duprey; nieces Candice Horsey, Marci Swick, Lisa Duprey and Amber Parsons; nephews Corey Rivera, Aaron Vassallo, Jason Duprey, Craig Duprey and Frankie Gayle; great-nieces Paige Vassallo, Haily Vassallo, Ava Horsey, Ella Horsey, Brittany Vassallo, Rylee Rivera and Mia Vassallo; and great-nephews Reece Rivera and Joey Vassallo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Duprey; son Michael Duprey; and sister Donna Vassallo.
