Kyle Stanley Harris, 56, of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 due to complications relating to COVID-19.
He was surrounded by his loving family, and is survived by his wife of 28 years, Stacy Harris; and two children Emma and Nathan Harris. He was the son of George Harris (Captain, USN, Ret.); and the late Gayle Harris; and stepson to Carrie Harris. He was the youngest of six siblings and brother to Michael Harris, Shannon Morrow, Tracey Luckett, Katie Hairfield, and Sean Harris. Beloved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues, Kyle was a man who did not know a stranger. He had a kind word for everyone and a ready smile, underwritten by a keen intellect and native gentleness.
A lover of music, guitar, and the performing arts, Kyle enjoyed sharing this love by playing in small venues throughout the years. He continued to play, write, and record his own works for years afterwards. A life-long fan of the Washington Redskins and the Nationals, one of his favorite past times was watching sports with his family and friends. Cherished by all who knew him, Kyle will be sorely missed, but well remembered in times of joy and in moments of quiet reflection.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Mask restrictions in place.
