Laurie Lee Bale Little, 53, died peacefully on December 4, 2018 in Spotsylvania.
Laurie was born on January 13, 1965 in Ridley Park, PA, to Bettie and Frank Bale. She married Brad Little in 1995 and they welcomed their loving daughter Kate into the world in 2003. After moving to Fredericksburg Laurie enjoyed working for GEICO. Her daughter remembers her as a kind, hard-working mother who encouraged her to pursue her goals and supported her every endeavor.
Laurie was a fun-loving and witty individual who loved God, her family and friends, and her country. She regularly opened her home to share love with foster animals and had a soft spot in her heart for Elvis.
Laurie is survived by her husband, Brad; daughter Katherine; her mother, Bettie Bale; and sisters, Cindy Benson (David), Meg Eckman (Fred), Patty House (Johnny), Pam Bale and Jennifer Resch (Zachary); nieces and nephews, Lindsay, Allison, Cheryl, Jody, Steve, Bryn, Christi, Anthony, Megan, Mike, Ryan, Matt, Kristen, Heather, Tammie, Kaitlyn and Jack; and 15 great-nieces and nephews and cousin Diane Meara. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank G. Bale.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December, 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 8 at the funeral home.
Following the service, a celebration of life will be held at a friend’s residence at 6931 Elon Dr, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
