Lawrence Philip Moxley

Lawrence Philip “Larry” Moxley, 73, of Fredericksburg, went to the Lord on Monday January 6, 2020.

Lawrence was born on October 27, 1946 in Washington DC, he was the son of Walter Carroll Moxley and Margaret Adele Ehrmantraut. He was preceded in death by his brother Walter C Moxley IV “Buddy”.

Lawrence grew up in DC, joined the Air Force and served his country honorably. He retired from Georgetown University Hospital after 46yrs and was a member of Aquia Episcopal Church. He was a devoted family man, passionate about his faith and his church family, and was known for his kind and compassionate spirit. He loved to travel, spend time with family and friends, Redskins football, fishing, riding motorcycles, and being near the water. He was a proud father and always said his children were his greatest accomplishment. Lawrence had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survived by his sister, Margaret A. Allison; wife Linda M. Moxley; three daughters Dawn M. Henry (Robert C. Henry), Cheryl A. Grizzard (Troy D. Grizzard), Christina M. Folden (Dustin W Folden); son Brian P. Moxley (Kathleen E. Moxley), his significant other, Zofia Dubicka; eight grandchildren Todd J. Carter II, Stephanie A. Konow (Shawn A. Konow), Heather M. Henry, Lacey N. Kronander (Kevin K. Kronander), Ryan C. Henry, Hunter L. Folden, Kyle P. Henry, and Noah L. Moxley; two great-grandchildren Kierstyn A. Carter and Kendall R. Kronander; three nephews George W. Allison, III, Michael J. Moxley, and Walter C. Moxley V; and many many friends.

Services to honor Lawrence will be held on Sunday Jan 26, 2020 at 1:00pm at Aquia Episcopal Church 2938 Jefferson Davis Hwy Stafford VA 22554.
