Lillie Bell Daniel

Lillie Bell Daniel, 77, of Fredericksburg passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at her home.

Lillie Bell Daniel, a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother was born on May 16, 1945, in Fredericksburg, Virginia to the late John and Catherine (née Samuel) White. On September 16, 1959, she married her best friend and the love of her life, Robert Louis Daniel, Sr. and from this union five children were born. She joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age. She was employed by Fredericksburg City Public Schools for many years. Lillie Bell was loved and known by many people; once you came in contact with her, you couldn’t forget her infectious smile and sweet, humble spirit. To know Lillie Bell was to love Lillie Bell.

Survivors include her children, Robert L. Daniel (Barbara), Deidra C. Byrd (Booth), Trenton O. Daniel (Pamela), Victor L. Daniel (Valerie), and Gayle Brent (John); 11 grandchildren, Danielle T. Washington, TaShauna Lawerence (Duane), TaKnesha Brown (Jonathan), TaMarcus Daniel, Tyniah Daniel, Cierra Lewis, Trent Robinson, Devin Robinson, Dion Fortune, John Brent, Jr., and Johnathan Brent; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings Florence Andrews, Velma Brooks, and Larry White (Kathy); brothers-in-law Thomas Daniel, Theodore Sterling (Audrey), and Lionel Daniel; and great-aunt Frances Jones.

She was preceded in death by her son, Troy Orlando; and granddaughter Deena Tamika.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
