Lloyd Wright Green, 88, of Rappahannock Academy, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 10, 2022.
Lloyd was well known for his strong work ethic. He was a retired Texaco fuel tanker driver and farmer. Lloyd was also a loyal, active member of Braveheart Community Church in Spotsylvania County.
Survivors include his five children, Peggy Elizabeth Brooks (Steve) of Catlett, VA, David Barton Green (Debbie) of Rappahannock Academy, VA, H. Lee Green (Tina) of Cluster Springs, VA, Maye Lynne Whitfield (Ronnie) of Cluster Springs, VA, Lloyd Alan Green (Dianna) of Fredericksburg, VA; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five brothers John Paul, Stewart Marshall, James Ennis, Henry Scott and Britton Barbee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Roxanna Ratliff Green; son William “Buddy” Brooks Green (Wanda) of Chester, VA; his parents, David Scott and Lela Marie Butler Green; and eight brothers; David Robert, Jackson Lee, Herbert Earl, Harold Ryland, Donald Thomas, Garland Butler, Franklin William, and Percy Caroll.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022, in Black Walnut Baptist Church.
