Lola Ann Burgess, 85, of Stafford passed away on September 8, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital.
She was a loving mother, daughter sister, friend, and an amazing “Granny” to all who came into her life, she was Granny. She gave all her love unconditionally to anyone and everyone.
She gave so much of herself and never asked, wanted, or expected anything in return.
She was a glorious, compassionate caregiver to her granddaughter Candita for many years.
Her grandchildren were the lights of her life.
She was a true blessing to everyone and will be forever missed.
Her love and kindness will be held forever in our hearts and our memories.
Survivors include two sons, Marlan and James Burgess of Stafford; four daughters Rhonda Peters (Orville) of Pacific, MO, Susie Scott (Donald) of King George, Marla Giordano (Eugene) of Camp Verde, AZ, and Paula Sampson of Stafford; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews; three sisters Cora Cox, Rose Dobson, and Laura Fisher; and one brother Kendall Daymude.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Stella Daymude; one son; three brothers James Daymude, Robert Daymude, and Raymond Daymude; and four grandchildren Candita Allen, Amanda Scott, Billy Tanner, and Scott Wolfe.
A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Interment will be held privately.
