Louise Stoneberger, 80, of Fredericksburg, Virginia unexpectedly went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022.
She was born August 31, 1941 in Hopewell, Virginia to the late John and Susie Yeratt, Jr. As a child Louise attended West Hopewell High School (Go Blue Devils!!) and then began her lifelong career with the Federal Government as a civilian. This career took her from positions in Richmond, Virginia to Washington, D.C. where she retired in 2001 after 41 and a half years. Retirement allowed her to care for both of her grandchildren prior to them entering preschool. She enjoyed traveling, being involved in various hearing loss associations, and spending time with friends.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy S. Woodard (Jamie) and Toni Jean Bruffery (Scott); grandchildren Lee and Madeline Woodard; brother John Percy Yeratt; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Yeratt.
Louise is remembered for being a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and a loving woman of God, who served the Lord all her life.
A service will be held 11:30 A.M. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Zoan Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Zoan Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be sent to any of the following Hearing Loss Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Zoan Baptist Church Cemetery Association.
