Mabel L. Patrick

Mabel Lorena Patrick, age 95, of Fredericksburg, VA, passed away on May 22, 2020 while under the care of Paramount Senior Living and Capital Caring of Fredericksburg.

Mabel was born on March 3, 1925 in Carnation, Washington to the late Raymond Palmer and Laurena Anderson Palmer. She moved to California, then to Alabama as a military wife, settling in Fairfax City, VA in 1959. In 1962, Mabel started working for the Fairfax County Department of Recreation and Community Services. After 22 years, she retired as the Administrative Division Supervisor. Mabel enjoyed traveling, puzzles, and dining with friends; however, her passion was her family.

Those left to mourn Mabel’s passing include her son, Dennis Patrick and his wife, Elaine, of Bend, OR; her daughter, Kerry Patrick Burger of Kalispell, MT; her son, Bruce Patrick and his wife, Paula, of Fredericksburg, VA; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Roberta Epps-Palmer of Carnation, WA. Mabel was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas Burger of Westport, WA; her brothers, Phillip Palmer, Milton Palmer, Raymond Palmer; and sister Nellie Palmer Schutter, all from Washington.

Due to Covid-19, a private (family only) interment will be held at Fairfax Memorial Park.
