Malcolm Drew George, 60, of Fredericksburg peacefully went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 26, 2021.
Malcolm had many medical setbacks and always remained positive and optimistic that he would one day win the fight… Malcolm fought until his last breath.
Malcolm was born on October 27, 1960 in Alexandria, but lived in Woodbridge for over 55 years until relocating to Port Royal. He graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School Class of 1979. Malcolm worked at American Packing and Shipping Inc./Executive Moving Systems for over 30 years and most recently at EF Thompson Inc., in Fredericksburg, VA. Malcolm greatest joy was being a Daddy and a Pawpaw to all of his girls. Malcolm had a best friend in life and that was his older brother Johnny. Malcolm was an avid Washington Redskins, Nationals and Capitals Fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and reminiscing about old times more than anything! He loved going on annual trips to the Outer Banks, NC.
Malcolm leaves behind a loving and devoted family, including two daughters, Danielle M. (George) Mannone (Anthony) of Fredericksburg, VA, Samantha P. (George) Garris (Bryan) of Fredericksburg, VA; four granddaughters Gabrielle, Emma, Madison and Hadley (Danielle); one sibling John W. George, Jr. (Jacqueline); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. George, Sr. and Ruby C. (Lindamood) George; and his sister Sonja K. (George) Winebrenner.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 22 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
