Margaret Ann Daniel

Margaret Ann Daniel, a longtime resident of Dahlgren, died unexpectedly on July 17, 2021 at the age of 70.

Margaret was born on March 12, 1951 to Richard and Lorraine Rennoe. She grew up in the Dahlgren area with her family on William's Creek. She was always drawn to the water and loved boating and water skiing. Margaret was still skiing at the age of 65.

Margaret spent her professional career with the U.S. Postal Service starting as a clerk at the Dahlgren Office. She was eventually promoted to Post Master and supported many different offices in the Northern Neck area. Upon retirement, she moved to Arkansas with beloved companion, Don Daniel, to begin life on the farm. While on the farm, Margaret and Don raised cows and even had a horse. Life wasn't complete without a couple of dogs.

Margaret's heart was always in Dahlgren and often said there is "no place like home". Her and Don just returned to the Dahlgren area two months ago after retiring from the farm life. She was happy to be home and close to her family again.

Margaret is survived by her longtime companion, Don Daniel; her children, Jeffrey Rennoe Hughes and Jennifer Ann Fisher; grandson, Trent Riley Fisher; several cousins; many friends; three chihuahuas and one pomeranian. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lorraine Weedon Rennoe.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 22 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pastor Thomas Preston will officiate.

Margaret will always be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that knew her.
