Mark Alan McGurl

Mark A. McGurl, 48, of Spotsylvania County passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 with his family by his side.

Mark loved to go hunting, participate in archery, and recently developed a knack for woodworking. He loved spending time with his friends and family and treasured each and every one of them. He was a loving Dad to Charlie and many other four legged fur-babies in his lifetime. He was incredibly intelligent, generous, and had a heart bigger than many people knew.

Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Elizabeth McGurl; as well as his brothers, Michael, Ronnie, David, Matthew; and his sister Rosemarie. He was preceded in death by his soulmate Stephanie Soucy.

A service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
