Michael Joseph Owens

Michael Joseph Owens, 42, of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

If you knew him, you knew a man of impeccable caliber. A man passionate about putting his family first. Michael was passionate about putting his family first. He loved the superheroes of both DC and Marvel Comics and avidly watched them with his children. Michael was a Redskins fan! He loved Star Wars and… an occasional donut! But most of all he loved his family and friends. Michael was a wonderful man. God picked a good one and he is getting his wings to watch over his family.

Michael was a devoted husband and family man. He loved superman, the Redskins, donuts and most of all, his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Owens; children Amanda, Demitri, and Tristian; grandchildren Kaiyan (Bug); mother Billie Owens; siblings J.J. (Shannon) and Kathy (James); and many nieces and nephews that he cared for like they were his own.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Owens, Sr.; cousins Charles Wayne McDaniel, and Daniel "Tiger" Frazier; and Aunt Sharlie McDaniel.

A service will be held at noon on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
