Michael Jeffrey Marshall, 64, of King George, Virginia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 6, 2020.
Michael was a man of strong faith. He served as a youth Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed at Future Technologies, Inc. in Dahlgren, Virginia as a Systems Analyst. He appreciated all sports. He was a devoted Washington Redskins fan and attended many of their training camps and games. He also supported the Nationals, the Wizards, and the Capitals. Michael was an avid cook. He liked to prepare meals for his family on the smoker and grill. He also enjoyed preparing seafood, especially steamed crabs. He loved going on beach vacations with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan Gallahan Marshall; his daughter, Sarah Marshall Moran (Jasen); his son, Matthew Michael Marshall; his sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Paul McDonald; his nephews, Brian McDonald (Stacy) and Kevin McDonald (Jacki); his niece, Allison McDonald; his great-niece, Betty McDonald; his great-nephews, Marshall and Owen McDonald; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Milton and Sharon Gallahan. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh Milton Marshall Sr. and Elsie Lumpkin Marshall.
The family will receive friends starting at 11:00 AM with a service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 16, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, face masks are required.
