Mildred Jane Raines-Southall

Mildred Jane Raines-Southall, 71, of Spotsylvania, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Mildred was born in Fredericksburg on July 9, 1947.  She absolutely adored her dog, Molly. Molly was her sidekick. She enjoyed crocheting, planting flowers, and gardening.  Mildred was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 32 years. 

She is survived by her children, Pam Lewis (Aaron) and Herbert Clarke, Jr.; two siblings, Edgar Raines, Jr. and Valli Foldi; ten grandchildren, Ashley Compton (Timothy), Anthony Fox Jr. (Krystal), Brittany Fox, Sheronda Fox, Herbert Clarke, III (Victoria), Michael Chapin, Mya, Bradley, Heidi, and Krislyn; nieces, Valli Williams (Edward), Carrie Rinehart (Dustin), and Kaitlyn Raines; nephews, Christopher Raines, and Cameron Foldi; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-nephews, and three great-nieces. 

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Joye and Edgar Raines; partner, Lewis “Snooki” Goodman; and grandson, Brandon Clarke. 

The family is planning to have a memorial service at Shady Grove United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 29 at 12:00 p.m. Shady Grove United Methodist Church is located at 11007 W Catharpin Rd., Spotsylvania, 22551.
