Tribute

Mrs. Naomi Hallie Kelly, 85, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital due to complications resulting from the COVID-19 virus.

She was born January 25, 1935 in Crozet to the late Percy and Susie Hutchinson, and she was the devoted wife of the late Hairm David Kelly.

Her greatest joy was her large extended family. She was the loving mother of four daughters and two sons, Vickie Gray, Susan Lee (Michael), Rhonda Kelly (Kurt Mikoleit), Dusty Walker, David (Cindy) Kelly, and Daniel Kelly (Jackie). She cherished and adored her six grandchildren April Kelly, Danielle Kelly, Jennifer Brown, Kelly Gardner (David), Lacey Kelly, and Michael Kelly. She was blessed with six great grandchildren, Allissa Kelly, Kaylee Kelly, Lucas Kelly, Michael Kelly, Thomas Gardner, and Tyler Kelly.

She was the beloved sister of Rebecca Klugh (Michael) and Malcolm Hutchinson, and she was the aunt to Chad Miller (Melanie), and their children, Karmen Shifflett and Dilan Miller.

She was known by all close to her as Elvis Presley’s “number one fan,” and she passed peacefully shortly after he serenaded her with, “Can’t Help Falling in Love” one final time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no public service will be held at this time. A celebration of Mrs. Kelly’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Naomi H. Kelly to the Alzheimer’s Association.
