Raffaela “Lee” Madalena Uliano Cox, 73, of Fredericksburg passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Raffaela was born in Naples, Italy and came to the United States in the 1970’s. She made her home in Fredericksburg, Virginia for the past 40 years. Raffeala was a graduate of Mary Washington College and received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Capella University. She was an artist and poet who saw beauty in everything around her. Lee was a conversationalist who enjoyed frequenting the businesses downtown to socialize and share her love of life.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Krauss; son Louis Philip Cox IV; and granddaughter Amanda Krauss. She also leaves behind many cousins in Italy, whom she spoke of fondly.
A private memorial service will be held at the Fredericksburg City Cemetery Memorial Garden where Lee’s ashes will be placed along with a marker.
