Robert C. "Bob" Hamlin

Robert C. “Bob” Hamlin, 68, of Montclair passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Bob was a self-employed businessman, after retiring he worked for the U.S. Congress for seven years. He was an avid wine collector and enjoyed touring local wineries, fishing, golfing and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Margaret Hamlin; children Christina Garrison (William) and Edward Hamlin; grandchildren Cameron Garrison and Aiden Garrison; siblings Carol Melton (Paul), Gary Hamlin, Mark Hamlin, Steven Hamlin (Linda), and Lauren Moore (Howard); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Leila Hamlin.

A service will be held at noon on Monday, May 20 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
