Robert Gordon Lam

Robert Gordon Lam, 72, of Spotsylvania passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.

Robert proudly served his country, community, and church throughout his life. After attending James Monroe High School, Robert served the United States Marine Corps for six years. He was a member of the American Legion and was a Mason. He also served as a deacon at Mine Road Baptist Church. Robert retired from NSWC Dahlgren.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Delores Martin-Lam; children Danielle (Chris), Joshua (Anna), and Marcus (Ginna); five stepchildren; nine grandchildren, Felicity “Bobble Head”, Molly “Flat Head”, Peyton “Curly”, Katelyn “Big Head”, Harley “Grunt”, Olivia “Alfalfa”, Everette “Screech”, Annika “Pooter”, and Morgan “Snorter”; sister Marie Stanley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Lam; mother Louise Keen (Andrew); brother James; and brother-in-law Russell Stanley.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 20 at Mine Road Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mine Road Baptist Church.
