Susan Denise Rodenski, 70, resident of King George County and originally from the White Oak area of Stafford County, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
Susan graduated from Stafford High School, attended Ferrum College, and worked for Mary Washington College. Her love for animals led her to become a lifetime member of the Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club as well as a member of the Bulldog Club of America (BCA), and Capitol Bulldog Club. Susan created, designed and worked the Breeder Referral Program for the BCA and Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club for well over 20 years.
Susan loved with all her heart and to know her was to love her. She never judged and opened herself up to everyone. Strangers became life-long friends easily. If you had a problem or needed help of any kind Susan always had time to listen no matter what time, day or night. She had friends from all over the globe and loved each and every one of them dearly. Susan had many gifts but her greatest gift was the gift of unconditional love. She loved her many puppies and her cat, Ebony. Susan’s love for her husband, children, and grandchildren was unmatched and unfaltering until her last breath.
She is survived by her husband Robert W. “Ski” Rodenski; daughters Tamatha Rodenski-Callender and Monica Rodenski-Drummond (Steven); grandchildren Amanda Callender-Watters (James) and Anthony J. Whipkey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul C. and Edna J. Sullivan, the owners of Ringgolds Service Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. A private family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28 in Quantico National Cemetery.
