Ted E. Jones, Jr.

Ted E. Jones, Jr., 80, of Falmouth, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Jones was a U.S Army Veteran and a graduate of Virginia Tech. He retired from the Public Works Department, Department of Defense, as a General Engineer at NSWC, Dahlgren after 36 years. Ted was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, and Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of Gideons International. He was a member of the Stafford Historical Commission until his illness.

Survivors include his wife, Anne B. Jones of Falmouth; one son, Mark S. Jones and his wife, Angie of Spotsylvania; two daughters, Jenny Errico and her husband, Frank of Fredericksburg, and Wanda Maturo of Centreville; one sister, Joyce Harris of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Jimmy Jones of Orlando, Florida, and Ronnie Jones of Waynesboro; and three grandchildren, Jason Maturo of Fairfax, and Amelia and Claire Jones of Spotsylvania.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1 at Falmouth Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie A. Powers, and the Rev. Todd D. Kube officiating. Burial will follow in Falmouth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Apperson, Ollie Burton, Charlie Hill, Allen Main, Rick Samulevich, and Steve Banks. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, March 31 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
