Thomas Albert Perchinsky

October 27, 1959 ~ November 8, 2023 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Tribute

Thomas Albert Perchinsky, age 64, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 after a brief illness. Tom was born on October 27, 1959 to the late Stanley W. Perchinsky and Frances A. Perchinsky.

Tom’s interest in automotives began with his high school job, working at Brown’s Texaco near his hometown of Ellsworth, Pennsylvania. Tom then kicked his career into high gear with a job at Eastern Off-Road in Uniontown, Pennsylvania that included supervision of multiple stores in the Northeast Region. Tom then opened Pro-Trucks with his business partner, the late Scott Gresham. Tom owned and nurtured Pro-Trucks for almost 30 years and is well known in the area for his custom truck work.

If Tom wasn’t working on a truck build, he was enjoying a cold beer out by his pool with friends and family. Tom is also known for his Pro-Truck calendars which always included a lifted truck and his faithful four legged companion at the time. Tom loved Sammy, Opie, and currently surviving, Gus.

To know Tommy was to love Tommy, along with memories to hold onto when you get into your Blazer, Jeep, or anything he helped you bring to life with that certain “Tom from Pro-Trucks touch.”

Tom is survived by his partner, Kimmie Hibbs; and sisters Patricia Molnar, Sandra Koterba, Karma A. Moksha, Janet Los, Lisa Besceglia, and Marcie Perchinsky. Tom was a beloved uncle to Carla Mitchell, Michele Petronka, Kristy Radosh, John Radosh II, Joseph Brown, Jamie Brown, Zachary Brown, Shelby Heimbach, Tayna Los Emery, Damian Los, and Riley Perchinsky. Thomas is survived by many great-nieces and -nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. The family asks that you please wear any Pro-Trucks gear you may have acquired over the years and, like Tom, a smile. If at all possible, bring your truck for a parade of vehicles to follow.

In lieu of flowers, Kim and Tom’s family ask that you are extra diligent in patronizing and supporting local small businesses like you supported Tom. Be as kind to them as he was to you.
