Valerie E. Portch

Valerie E. Portch, 66, of Spotsylvania passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at her home.

She was a part of The Black Hats and Diamonds country western line dance team. Valerie was in the Orange County Hog Chapter motorcycle club. 

Survivors include her husband, James W. Portch, Jr.; daughters Joy Hatchett, Crystal Horoszewski, Rachel Woodward, and Linda Buie; grandchildren Chelsie Wyant, Brent Wyant, Conner Wyant, Landon Karas, Mason Karas, Tristan Rozlog, and Jozi Portch; great-grandchildren Rylie Carpenter and Karson Finney; and brother Ricky Elliott.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Elliott and Joyce Elliott Rawlings; and son James W. Portch III.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Cemetery.
