Vera B. Noel

Vera B. Noel, 94, of Stafford County passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born in Stafford County on December 2, 1928 to the late Luke and Bessie Guy.

Vera graduated from Stafford High School where she played basketball. She was a member of Ramoth Baptist Church.

Vera is survived by her nephews, Ron Watts (Donna) who were her caregivers, Kenneth Knight, PeeWee Guy (Diana), and Donald Guy (Joyce); nieces Helen Kearns, Doris Martin, Patsy Hyatt (Charles), Diana Davidson (Scott), and Debbie Batton; sister-in-law Lillian Guy; several great-nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Noel; her brothers, Weedon and Luke Guy; sisters Louise Knight and Hilda Watts; and infant son Kenneth Wayne Barber.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
