Victoria Ferlazzo Bland

Victoria Ferlazzo Bland, 78, of Lake Anna passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at her home. 

Victoria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and second Mom to many.   She was quite the athlete in high school – as a guard on the basketball team and 1st baseman on the softball team.  After graduating Garfield High School in 1961, she went to work for the federal government and started her family and a 60-year marriage with her husband, Harvey.  She retired after 32 years of service from the Federal Aviation Administration and continued using her talents as the backbone to the family businesses (aka Harvey Ventures) for 25 more years.   Mom loved her home, her family, watching her children grow up and moreover enjoyed watching them have children of their own.   She will always be the core of the family and will be deeply missed.  

Survivors include her husband, Harvey Charles Bland; children Susan Taylor, Mark Bland, and Angela Ivins; siblings Richard Ferlazzo, Diana Tanner, Marilyn York, and Terry Lee Bryant; and grandchildren Tyler, Daniel, and Dayna Bland.  She was preceded in death by her oldest grandson, Jeffrey Seaton. 

A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.  The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Dumfries Cemetery.
