Wanita Sharon Hicks

Wanita Sharon Hicks, 77, of Fredericksburg passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Stafford Hospital.

Sharon spent her working years as a caregiver and homemaker. She was a dog lover, spending many hours with her beloved Pomeranian, Gracie. Sharon was a lifelong member of Hull’s Memorial Baptist Church and was well-known for her soprano singing voice. She blessed the congregation for many years on Christmas Eve with her rendition of “Oh Holy Night”.

Survivors include her husband, John Hicks; daughter Robin Hicks Harrison; sister Brenda Wine Clare; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys W. Wine; and father Robert A. Wine.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Hull’s Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hull’s Memorial Baptist Church.
