William Seward, 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Stafford Hospital.
Bill was born in Birmingham, AL and grew up in Willow Springs near Chicago, IL. He attended Argo High School where he played football and wrestled. Bill served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and worked 13 years at the Pentagon. He then had a second career as a computer technician and retired from Prince William County Schools. Bill was a John Wayne fan, enjoyed the Rolling Stones, and hunting in his younger years. He was a good humored man who loved family, social events, and always found time for a good movie. Bill was a member of The American Legion Post 290 and Life Member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars in Dale City.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Dale Seward; daughters Mona Frazier (Joe), and Melody Taylor (Carl); grandchildren Dacey Frazier, Hunter Frazier, and Gloria Taylor; siblings John Seward and Linda Nangle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Guy Rudich and stepfather Steve Rudich; father Steve Seward; and brother Robert Seward.
A celebration of life will be held at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
