    For Sarah’s parents and John:
I cannot begin to understand your pain and daily struggle, but please know that your daughter left her mark on so many of us. Her contagious laughter, quick wit, and compassion for her work were her hallmarks and for what she will be remembered. Everyone I know, whether they know you or Sarah, has you in their hearts.

Sarah was one of a kind, and I will miss her immensely. She was a great friend, and coworker. I had the pleasure of getting to work with her both at Woodbridge Animal hospital and at The Hope Center with CVCA. I remember how happy and excited she was to embark on her new career. Sarah was so kind, thoughtful, and she could always keep me laughing with her quick wit, and enduring smile. I’ll cherish my memories of her always.

Dearest Joan and Family… Abbey called me while I was in Florida to tell me the tragic news. Since there are no words, I am simply remembering our years together raising our children. I remember your heart filled with love, energy and willingness to step out of the box to
help all those throughout… Sarah is a true testament to the way you to and Roscoe raised her. She too touched so many, in so many

I was so saddened when I read of Sarah’s death. Even after 26 years, I remember Sarah’s laugh, kindness, and hard work. She was always upbeat and positive as a first grader. Over the years I would run into her and was always so impressed to see those traits were still with her.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Sara Jones, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t even begin to imagine what life must be like for you now without her. I worked with Sara at Woodbridge Animal Hospital for several years. Though I was not as close with her as many of our other co-workers were, she has certainly left her mark in my heart. Of course, like every one else who knew Sarah, I too loved her laugh….it was great. You can’t talk about Sarah and not think of her laughing! Walking into the animal hospital to begin my shift, I remember her many times mopping the floor. She would say “Be careful! It’s slippy”! Not slippery, but “slippy”-so cute :) I also think of gardening when I think about Sarah. I too love to garden, though this year she had much more luck than I did! Her love for her furry friends is also what I think of. She was recently trying to adopt a little puppy with a heart issue. It takes a lot of love, time, and money to take care of a pet with a medical issue like that and even though it’s life may have been shortened because of it, she was willing to give that little pup a chance. Lastly, I think of her close friends that I too work with. I’ve seen pictures on facebook, and heard stories at work about Sarah and her close friends. She loved them and they loved her, and she was always there for them. They lost a great friend, and my heart also goes out to them. The day that I and my co-workers heard of Sarah’s passing….it was just surreal, and it kind of still is. Sarah, you are, and will always be missed.

I only met with Sarah a couple of weeks ago at the Hope Center in Vienna to teach me how to give my ornery little black Cocker Spaniel “Cracker” her heart medications.
I was at my wits end and could only see my little dog deteriorating because she would not take her heart medications without getting very upset and biting me. Well Sarah saved the day and my precious little dog. She made it look so easy. I couldn’t believe I had not learned it sooner. But Sarah obviously had the knack, the knowledge and patience to get the job done right. I was so happy that day it brought me to tears. I thanked her profusely and probably hugged her at least 3 or 4 times. I was very grateful because in my mind she helped save my little dogs life. I felt such emptiness when I learned of her passing; “unbelievable” was my first though until it really sank in. Now I feel just an aching sadness for the loss of such a warm and talented person who made a big difference in one little dog’s life and her owners too just in one hour’s time. I certainly feel like I have lost a good friend. I can only imagine how many others feel the same way right now.
My sincere condolences to family, friends and colleagues.
